What it does and does not do
A short, honest pipeline. New lead, in conversation, proposal sent, negotiating, then won or lost. No scoring model, no automation, nothing sent on your behalf.
Follow-ups first. Overdue and due-today follow-ups come first, then leads that have gone quiet for longer than their stage usually allows.
A forecast that says what it is using. Starting guesses at first; your own win rates once you have eight closed leads. It is an estimate of your own numbers, not a prediction of income.
Where work comes from. Win rate and won value by source, and the reasons you record for lost leads, so you can stop spending time on channels that never pay.
Not modelled: email sync, reminders by email or phone, calendar invites, multiple users or sharing, and contact enrichment. It is a private notebook for one freelancer, not a shared CRM.
Common questions
Is this lead tracker really free?
Yes. There is no account, no limit on leads and no paywall on exporting. It runs in your browser, so it costs nothing to serve, and it stays free.
Why track freelance leads at all?
Most lost freelance work is not lost to a competitor, it is lost to silence: a proposal sent and never followed up. A pipeline shows who is waiting on you today, which proposals have gone quiet, and which lead sources actually turn into paid work.
How is the forecast worked out?
Each open lead's value is multiplied by the chance of winning at its stage, then added up. Until you have eight closed leads the chances are starting guesses (10, 25, 40 and 70 percent). After that the tool uses your own win rates, and says which it is using.
How often should I follow up on a proposal?
A common rhythm is a check-in two to three days after sending, again after a week, then a polite last note. The tracker marks a proposal as quiet after seven days with no contact and suggests a next date for you to confirm.
How many leads do I need to hit a monthly income target?
Enter the amount you want to win and the tool divides it by your average won deal, then by your win rate, to give the number of wins and leads you need. With no history yet it uses a stated 25 percent win rate you can sanity-check.
Where is my lead list stored?
In your browser on this device only. Clearing site data removes it, so use Download backup now and then. Nothing you type is uploaded.
Can I move a lead into a proposal?
Yes. Each lead has a Write the proposal link that opens Freelance Proposal Maker with the client name, contact and your notes filled in. The details travel in the page address fragment, which browsers never send to a server.
