Should I run Walmart Connect ads?

Sellers search this after Walmart Connect Sponsored Products starts billing last-click sales they already had. The main calculator’s ads-per-unit line is one leftover on a completed sale, so it cannot show whether extra units cover that bill. Skipping ads keeps the organic leftover. Running ads adds extra units and charges ACOS on last-click billed units — a share of organic plus the extras. Spending harder at a higher ACOS buys more extras and usually a larger bill.

On the default $24.99 home unit on WFS, skipping ads keeps $31.15 more than Sponsored Products ($518.99 vs $487.84) on 60 organic units. Twelve extra units at 15% ACOS cannot cover last-click billing on 40% of organic (24 units). Ads match if ACOS falls to about 11.5%, extra units rise to about 18.4, or organic attribution falls to about 26.2%. An 8% ACOS flips ahead by $31.83. A 25% ACOS campaign with 22 extra units and 50% organic attribution leaves $384.42.

Path ACOS Extra units Ad spend Leftover vs skip

Leftover is organic units × completed-sale profit, plus extra ad units × that profit, minus ACOS% × sale price on last-click billed units. Complementary to WFS vs seller fulfilled (a completed sale, one ads line), to 2-day vs WFS (take rate, not ad spend), to returns vs WFS (a refund, not traffic), to aged leftover vs a removal (units already inbound), to the price-match view on the main calculator (same take, lower ticket), and to hold vs match vs promo (Buy Box take on a lower ticket, not ad spend). Paste ACOS, extra units, and attribution from your current Ads Manager report. This page does not publish Walmart’s live ad schedule.

The calculator is arithmetic, not advice. It does not recommend skipping ads, Sponsored Products, or a higher ACOS.

Common questions

Should I run Walmart Connect Sponsored Products ads?

On the calculator defaults — a $24.99 home unit on WFS, 15% referral, 60 organic units, 12 extra ad units, 15% ACOS, and 40% last-click attribution on organic — skipping ads keeps $31.15 more than Sponsored Products ($518.99 vs $487.84). Ads match if ACOS falls to about 11.5%, extra units rise to about 18.4, or organic attribution falls to about 26.2%. An 8% ACOS flips ahead by $31.83. This page does the arithmetic from the rates you enter; it does not recommend a campaign.

Is Walmart Connect the same as the ads-per-unit line on the main calculator?

No. The main calculator subtracts a flat ads-per-unit leftover from a completed sale and assumes the offer already sold. This page mixes extra units ads buy with last-click billing on a share of the organic sales you already had. A completed-sale WFS versus seller table, a 2-day take-rate mix, a refund mix, and aged leftover are different squeezes.

When do Walmart Connect ads still beat skipping them?

When extra units cover the ACOS bill on last-click attributed organic plus those extra units. On these defaults that is about 11.5% ACOS, 18.4 extra units, or 26.2% organic attribution. An 8% ACOS with the same 12 extra units and 40% attribution flips ahead by $31.83. Replace ACOS, extra units, and attribution from your current Ads Manager report.
