← Walmart Marketplace calculator
Sellers search this after a generous Walmart return policy eats a completed-sale leftover. WFS usually keeps the pick fee and adds return processing. Seller fulfilled already spent the outbound label and then buys a return label plus restock time. Unsellable returns also leave cost of goods on the table. The main calculator’s WFS vs seller table assumes the order stuck, so it cannot show whether returns flip the path.
On the default $24.99 home unit, an 8% return mix still leaves seller fulfilled $0.16 ahead per unit ($7.33 vs $7.17), $9.58 on 60 units. The $2.50 WFS return fee plus a kept $3.95 pick is cheaper than a $4.50 outbound label plus a $5.50 return label, but not enough to wipe a $0.59 completed-sale gap. WFS matches if returns rise to about 11%. At 20% returns WFS keeps $0.49 more and the completed-sale winner flips. A waived WFS return fee flips the 8% mix by $0.04.
| Path | Completed | Return leftover | Expected | Monthly | vs seller |
|---|
Expected leftover is (1 − return%) × completed-sale profit + return% × return leftover. WFS return leftover keeps the pick fee (unless you mark it refunded) and adds return processing. Seller fulfilled already spent the outbound label, then pays the return label and restock time. Unsellable returns also keep cost of goods. Complementary to WFS vs seller fulfilled (a completed sale) and to 2-day vs WFS (take rate, not a refund), and to aged leftover vs a removal (units that never sold), and to Walmart Connect vs skip (ad spend, not a refund). Paste the return fee and labels from your current Seller Center preview. This page does not publish Walmart’s live fulfillment schedule.
The calculator is arithmetic, not advice. It does not recommend WFS or seller fulfilled after returns.
On the calculator defaults — a $24.99 home unit, 15% referral, standard WFS fulfillment, $1.10 inbound, a $4.50 seller label, an 8% return mix, a $2.50 WFS return fee, a $5.50 return label, 8 minutes at $18, and 25% unsellable — seller fulfilled still keeps $0.16 more per unit than WFS after returns ($7.33 vs $7.17), $9.58 on 60 units. WFS matches if returns rise to about 11.0%. At 20% returns WFS keeps $0.49 more and the completed-sale winner flips. This page does the arithmetic from the rates you enter; it does not recommend a fulfillment method.
No. The main calculator compares a completed sale on both paths and assumes the order stuck. This page mixes that leftover with a refunded-order leftover so a cheaper completed-sale path does not hide return processing, the outbound label you already spent, and unsellable units. 2-day take is a different mix: it is Buy Box win versus miss, not a refund.
When the return mix is high enough that WFS return processing plus a kept pick fee beats the outbound label plus a return label. On these defaults that floor is about 11%. A waived $0.00 WFS return fee flips the 8% mix by $0.04. Replace the rate, WFS return fee, and return label from your current Seller Center preview.
