Specialist marketplaces for this kind of item
These sites only take this category, so they are not in the ranking above. Shown against the best general channel for the same item.
Adjust the fee rates
These are editable defaults taken from this site's per-channel calculators, not a live fee schedule. If your statement says something different — a negotiated rate, a category this table does not carry, a promotional rate — put your number in and the ranking follows it. Leave a box blank to go back to the default.
Advertising you pay on each channel (optional)
Fees are not the whole cost of a sale: Etsy Offsite Ads (12–15% when they fire), eBay Promoted Listings, and Amazon or Walmart sponsored products all come off the same order. Enter what you actually pay, as a percentage of sales, on the channels where you advertise. Blank means none, and it is blank by default because the spend differs by seller far more than any fee does.
What each channel's number leaves out
How to read this
Every percentage here is charged on the whole order — the item price plus any shipping the buyer paid. Folding postage into the price to advertise free shipping does not avoid the fee.
Marketplace fees are taken out of your proceeds, not paid up front, so they are not counted as cash you invested. That keeps margin comparable across channels that charge very differently.
Subscriptions are spread over the orders-per-month figure you entered rather than ignored. That is what stops a $39.99 Amazon plan from looking free at two orders a month.
A marketplace fee buys buyers. Your own store charges no referral fee and will almost always top this table on arithmetic — but it sends you nobody. Read that row as "what I keep on a sale I brought myself", and put the cost of bringing it against the difference.
Which marketplace has the lowest fees? A worked comparison walks one item through six of the channels above step by step, including why the cheapest fee rate is not always the highest payout.
Should I move off marketplaces to my own store? works the same item at five and sixty orders a month, and shows why your own store's lowest fee rate does not net the most until volume covers its subscription.
Already selling and wondering whether you want connected analytics instead? This tool vs. Sellerboard sets a free pre-listing comparison against a paid, account-connected profit report, and says plainly what this page cannot tell you.
Wondering why not just open each marketplace's own calculator? This tool vs. checking each marketplace separately walks through what goes wrong reconciling six tabs by hand, and what each channel's own calculator still does better.
Need returns and shelf time in the ranking too? The where-to-sell calculator (it opens with the item above) ranks one item across eBay, Etsy, Amazon, Mercari, Reverb, Poshmark, Depop, Grailed, StockX, Whatnot, TikTok Shop, Walmart, TCGplayer, Discogs, Facebook Marketplace, your own store, and a local sale after expected returns and what one listing is worth per month of shelf.

Use it safely
Everything runs in your browser. Your prices, costs, and volumes are
never uploaded. We count only anonymous feature events in local storage
(comparisons run, comparisons copied, and share links copied) — never
people, content, IPs, or cookies. Counting honors Do Not Track and
Global Privacy Control. Turn it off with the checkbox below. A share
link encodes only the item, category, and rate fields in the page's
URL fragment (after the #); a browser never sends that
part of a URL to a server, so it is not sent to us either.
Fee rates change. The defaults here were current when this page was written and are inputs, not a fee schedule. Confirm against your own statement before pricing a catalogue against them.
