Reads the invoices, expenses and mileage you already keep on this device, and shows your 2026 net profit, self-employment tax, a federal tax estimate, what is still due each quarter and which clients should send a 1099-NEC. No account, no subscription, nothing leaves your device.
Files are read in this tab and not stored or uploaded.
What the print button produces. A worksheet for you or your preparer, not a tax form.
Yes. There is no account, no trial and no paywall on the printout or the CSV. It runs in your browser, so it costs nothing to serve, and it stays free.
From the other tools on this site, read on this device only: paid invoices from Invoice Maker, expenses from Expense Tracker and business trips from Mileage Log. If you use none of them, type your income and expenses in the boxes. Nothing is uploaded and nothing in those tools is changed.
Schedule C net profit, self-employment tax (Schedule SE), half of it deducted, the standard deduction, the 20 percent qualified business income deduction below the phase-in threshold, and federal income tax by bracket for single or married filing jointly. It does not include state tax, credits you do not enter, itemised deductions, depreciation, a home office, health insurance or retirement deductions.
The target is the smaller of 90 percent of this year's estimated tax and 100 percent of last year's tax (110 percent if last year's income was over $150,000), minus anything withheld, split into four equal payments. Enter what you have already paid and it shows what is still due. Dates are April 15, June 15, September 15 and January 15; when one falls on a weekend or holiday the deadline moves, so check the date.
Clients you invoiced and were paid $2,000 or more this year (the threshold for payments made after 2025). Businesses that paid you for services are generally expected to send a Form 1099-NEC for that. Payments by card or PayPal are reported on a 1099-K instead, so a client may legitimately not send one. Use the list to check what to expect in January.
No. It adds up what you recorded and applies published federal rates, which is a planning aid and a tidy set of records to hand to a preparer or your tax software. It does not file anything and it is not tax advice.
On a cash basis, an invoice is income when you are paid. Sent but unpaid invoices are shown as a warning and left out of income by default. Switch to invoice basis if you report income when you bill, which some businesses do.
Not modelled: state and local tax, the home office and vehicle-actual deductions, depreciation and Section 179, health insurance and retirement deductions, itemised deductions, the additional Medicare tax, the net investment income tax, the alternative minimum tax, tips and overtime deductions, other credits, and filing statuses other than single and married filing jointly. 2026 figures are as published in Rev. Proc. 2025-32 and Social Security's 2026 wage base; check them against IRS.gov before relying on them.
