Common questions

How many hours does a wedding video really take?

The shoot is the short part. A highlight film often takes as many edit hours as the whole day took to film, and a full ceremony or speeches edit adds more, so total hours worked are commonly two to four times the shoot hours. Enter your own numbers: this calculator counts shoot, travel, planning, every edit and every revision round.

What hourly rate should a wedding videographer aim for?

That is your decision. Enter a target hourly rate and the calculator shows the minimum package price that reaches it for the hours and costs you entered, and how many edit hours the booking can absorb before it falls to that rate.

How many revision rounds should a package include?

Many videographers cap included revisions at one or two and charge a fee for extra rounds, because each round costs real editing hours. Set your cap, the rounds a client actually used and a fee per extra round to see how much revision creep costs.

Are the example numbers current market rates?

No. They are unverified approximations for illustration only, not survey data. Replace every figure with your own prices, hours and costs before relying on the result.

Is this financial advice?

No. It does arithmetic on the numbers you enter. It is not legal, tax or financial advice, and it does not cover income tax, sales tax or contract terms.
