SALES CALL NOTES DESK · RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER · NOTHING UPLOADED
Turn call notes into CRM fields and a follow-up in a minute
Paste your discovery call notes or transcript. You get what you learned (pain, budget, decision maker, timeline, process, criteria, alternatives), what the call still did not answer with the question to ask next, the next steps with dates, a CRM-ready row, and a follow-up email checked against your notes so it never states a number you did not hear.
A draft for you to read, edit and send yourself. This tool never sends anything.
Optional: polish the email with AI, on your own key
Off by default. If you add a key, only your notes and the draft email are sent, straight from this browser to the provider you pick, never to us. The model email must pass the same checks (no dollar figure that is not in your notes, no guarantees); otherwise the built-in email is kept and you are told. The key is kept only in this browser if you tick the box.
To keep everything on your own computer, run a model locally with Ollama, LM Studio or llama.cpp and pick it below: no key, no cost per use, and the text goes only to your machine. Name a model you have downloaded (for Ollama, ollama list shows them). The local server must allow this page: start Ollama with OLLAMA_ORIGINS=https://duncan-haywood.github.io set, or switch on CORS in LM Studio's server settings. Your browser may ask whether this site may reach devices on your network.
Questions
How do I turn sales call notes into CRM fields?
Paste the notes or transcript and the tool reads them for pain, quantified impact, budget, decision maker, timeline, decision process, decision criteria, alternatives and a dated next step, and shows the sentence each came from. One click gives you a CSV row or a block of text to paste into the deal record. Anything the notes do not say is left blank and listed as a question for the next call, never guessed.
What is the difference between BANT and MEDDIC?
BANT checks four things: budget, authority, need and timeline. MEDDIC adds quantified impact, the economic buyer, decision criteria, decision process, the pain and a champion, which suits longer deals with several people involved. This tool reports nine fields that cover both lists, so you can see at a glance which parts of either checklist your call actually answered.
How do I write a good follow-up email after a sales call?
Send it the same day, keep it under 200 words, recap the problem in the contact's own words, list what each side agreed to do with a date, and end on one clear next step. Do not add prices, discounts or promises that were not said on the call. The tool drafts exactly that from your notes and checks the draft before you send it.
Does it use AI, and are my call notes sent anywhere?
Only if you choose. The analysis and the built-in email work with no key, using rules in your browser, and your notes are never uploaded. If you add your own API key for Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint, only the notes and the draft email are sent, from your browser straight to that provider, and the model email is rejected if it contains a dollar figure that is not in your notes.
Why did it say my deal has no decision maker?
It looks for a title such as CFO or director together with words like signs off, approves or final say. If the notes never mention who decides, it flags the gap, because a deal with one contact and no known approver is the most common way a good call goes quiet. Add the name and title to the notes and run it again.
Can I use it on a call transcript?
Yes. Lines that start with a name and a colon are treated as speakers. Put your own name in the Your name box and the tool sorts next steps into yours and theirs. A transcript works best trimmed to the important parts, because the rules read every sentence.
Is Sales Call Notes Desk free?
Yes. There is no signup, no limit and no watermark. It runs in your browser, so it costs nothing to serve, and it is MIT-licensed open source you can host yourself.
