What to charge per charter trip: break-even, target price and what weather cancellations really cost
Enter fuel, crew, bait, your yearly fixed costs, how many trips you expect to book and how many the weather takes. You get the break-even price, the price that pays you the income you want, the per-angler price, and how a flat rate you charge today performs.
It works backwards from your costs. It does not know what other captains charge.

Common questions
How do I price a fishing charter?
Add up what one trip costs you to run (fuel, deckhand, bait and supplies), add your yearly fixed costs spread over the trips that actually get fished, add the profit you want to take home, then divide by one minus your card fee. The result is the flat price per trip; divide by anglers to quote per person.
Why does weather change my price?
Slip, insurance, maintenance and the boat payment are due whether or not you sail. If 20% of booked trips cancel, the same fixed costs land on fewer trips. Enter your cancellation rate and the page shows what it adds to each trip you do run.
Should I charge a fuel surcharge?
If fuel moves a lot during your season, a clause that adjusts the price per dollar change in fuel keeps the margin. The page shows what each $1.00 per gallon does to one trip.
Does it know what other captains charge?
No. It works backwards from your costs and the income you want. Compare the result with local operators before you publish a rate.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is sent; a test in the code asserts there are no network calls.
