Questions people ask
What price should an escape room charge per player?
The best price is where the extra money from a higher price stops outweighing the games you lose. The planner lowers or raises your price along a demand curve you set (how much bookings fall for each 1% rise) and shows monthly profit at each price, so you can see how flat or steep the top is before changing anything.
How many games can an escape room run per day?
Each game blocks its length plus the reset time, except the last, which needs no reset. Nine open hours with 60-minute games and 20-minute resets fit seven games per room. Cutting the reset to 10 minutes fits eight, which the planner shows as a capacity ceiling.
What occupancy does an escape room need to break even?
Staff, rent and marketing are paid whether or not a room sells, so break-even is the share of slots you must fill for contribution to cover them. The planner shows it as a blended occupancy and as bookings per week, next to what you book today.
Should I charge a minimum number of players?
If many groups are smaller than your room is priced for, a minimum charge lifts those bookings. The table shows revenue per booking at each minimum for your usual group size; it does not predict whether small groups would book elsewhere.
Is this business, tax or financial advice?
No. It is arithmetic on the numbers you type in plus a demand assumption you choose. Leases, insurance, fire and safety rules, wages law and tax are out of scope.

How many players will actually book at a price (the sensitivity is your assumption, not a measurement; test any price change on a few weeks of real bookings), your lease and insurance terms, fire, safety and accessibility obligations, wage and employment rules, tax treatment, seasonality, review scores and competitors nearby, and the cost of new puzzles and repairs. The defaults are placeholders, not forecasts: check occupancy and costs against your own booking system.
