Will a trampoline park make money? Monthly profit, payback and break-even fill

For anyone planning or running a trampoline park or family entertainment center. Type your capacity, sessions, ticket price and costs. The tool counts jumper slots actually filled, birthday parties, memberships, snacks, floor staff, rent, insurance and an equipment repair reserve, then shows monthly profit, how many months the build takes to pay back, the fill rate you need to break even, and the lowest ticket price that reaches your margin and payback targets.

The method with a worked example: how much does a trampoline park make.

1. Park and sessions

2. Parties and memberships

3. Monthly costs

4. The build and any loan

Fill in the numbers, then click Check this park.

5. Compare with a second scenario

Scenario A is everything above. Scenario B keeps your sessions, staff, rent and costs, and changes only the capacity, ticket, fill, parties and members below. The build cost stays the same, so compare scenarios that fit the same building.

How it is built

Slots: jumper slots a month = jumpers per session × sessions × open days × 52 ÷ 12. Visits = slots × average fill. Revenue: visits × (ticket + snack spend), plus parties × package price, plus members × monthly fee. Costs: snack cost, party cost, card fees and the repair reserve as a share of revenue, floor staff (1.75 hours door to door per session), rent, utilities, insurance and other fixed costs, and any loan payment.

Payback: build cost ÷ monthly profit before the loan payment. Lowest ticket: the price at which margin equals your target, and the price at which payback equals your target; typing either back reproduces the target. Sensitivity: the same park with attendance cut by 10% and 20% (parties and members held). Break-even fill: profit is exactly linear in attendance, so it is solved exactly.

Common questions

How much does it cost to open a trampoline park?

Plan on roughly $250,000 to $800,000 for courts and equipment in a 15,000 to 30,000 square foot building, plus a fit-out for flooring, party rooms, a front desk and a snack counter. Enter your own quotes for both and the calculator adds them into one build cost and divides it by monthly operating profit to give a payback.

What fill rate does a trampoline park need to break even?

It depends on rent, staff and ticket price, so the calculator solves it: it scales attendance up or down until monthly profit is exactly zero and reports that as a percentage of all jumper slots. Parties and memberships pay for part of the fixed costs before a single walk-in buys a ticket, so the break-even fill is lower than most owners guess.

How much of a trampoline park's income comes from birthday parties?

Often a quarter or more of revenue, and the most reliable part because it is booked in advance. The calculator counts parties as a flat package price minus the food, host and supplies each one costs, and warns when parties are over a third of revenue, because party income is capped by your party rooms and weekend hours.

What ticket price do I need to reach my target margin?

The calculator solves for the ticket that makes margin equal your target and shows it, next to the ticket that reaches your payback target. The test suite checks that charging exactly those prices earns the target for hundreds of random parks.
