This calculator vs. eBay's own Fee Calculator

eBay publishes two free tools for sellers inside Seller Center: a Fee Calculator that estimates the fees on one listing, and a Fee Illustrator that recommends which Store package fits a seller's volume. Both are free to any seller and both are aimed at eBay's own fee schedule — what a listing or a Store subscription costs, not what a sale leaves after everything else that happens to it.

That makes eBay's own tools the right choice for a quick fee estimate on one listing, or picking a Store tier, without leaving Seller Center. This calculator does not try to replace either one, and does not attempt to reproduce eBay's live rate card — every fee rate here is a box you type, so it never drifts out of date with a category or promotion change the way a stored table would.

QuestionWhere to answer it
What will eBay charge in fees on this one listing? eBay's own Fee Calculator — Seller Center.
Which Store package is worth it for my volume? eBay's own Fee Illustrator — Seller Center, or this calculator's store-tier section using your own rate mix.
What does this sale actually leave after cost of goods, the label, and packaging? This calculator — net profit, margin, and return on invested cash on one screen.
What does a realistic return rate still leave? This calculator's expected-profit-after-returns section — neither eBay tool estimates returns.
What price hits a target margin, dollar profit, or ROI? This calculator's repricer, next to the order result.
Do Promoted Listings, Managed Returns, Authenticity Guarantee, Global Shipping Program, or Top Rated Plus still pay on this same sale? This calculator's linked sections — see the main page.

Beyond the comparison, this tool keeps your numbers saved in your own browser between visits, and a shareable link that carries your inputs after the # in the URL — never uploaded anywhere, and reproduced only in whoever's browser opens that link.

This tool needs no eBay account and no listing to exist yet: it is a static page, the arithmetic runs in your browser, and once it has loaded it keeps working with the connection off. Nothing you type is uploaded anywhere.

Common questions

Should I use this calculator or eBay's own Fee Calculator?

Most sellers get more use out of both. eBay's own Fee Calculator, in Seller Center, is the fastest place to get a fee estimate for one listing, free to any seller. This page does not try to replace that. What it adds is everything a fee estimate is not built around: cost of goods, net profit, margin and return on invested cash, a break-even and target-margin repricer, expected profit after a typed return rate, and more than twenty-five follow-on decisions on the same sale, from whether Promoted Listings Advanced still pays after a click bill charged either way to whether a store subscription still beats the no-store rate — none of which a single-listing fee estimate covers.

What about eBay's Fee Illustrator?

Fee Illustrator answers a narrower, related question: which eBay Store package — Starter, Basic, Premium, Anchor, or Enterprise — is worth it for a seller's own listing volume and format mix. This calculator's own store-tier section asks the same question from the numbers you type into an order, as one of many follow-on decisions rather than a separate tool.
