APP SUBSCRIPTION PROCEEDS CALCULATOR · RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER

What does an app subscriber really leave you?

Enter your price, the store's fee, refunds and churn. You get what each charge nets after fees, what a subscriber is worth over their life, how long payback takes at your cost per subscriber, and what a web checkout would change.

Your numbers, not financial advice. Store rates, small-business programs and linking rules belong to the stores and change, so every value is editable. Nothing is uploaded: inputs are used in this browser tab only.

Common questions

How much of an app subscription do I keep after the App Store or Google Play fee?

At a 30 percent store fee, 3 percent refunds and no tax, a $9.99 monthly charge leaves $6.78 in year one. Where the store's lower rate applies after a subscriber's first year, the same charge leaves $8.24 afterwards. Enter your own rates; they are the store's and change.

What is a subscriber worth at 8 percent monthly churn?

On the default numbers a subscriber pays for about 11.9 months out of 36 and is worth $86.35 after fees and refunds. Halving churn to 4 percent raises that to $144.48, which is why churn moves the answer more than the fee tier does.

How much can I spend to acquire a subscriber?

The calculator shows the most you can spend per subscriber and still pay back within 12 months, $53.62 on the defaults, and the month your typed cost per subscriber pays back, month 5 at $25.

Does this give advice or use store data?

No. It does arithmetic on the numbers you type. Store rates, small-business programs and rules on linking to a web checkout belong to the stores and differ by country, so every value is editable. It is not affiliated with Apple or Google and nothing is uploaded.
