FULFILLMENT DECISION TOOL
Should I pay the 3PL to kit, or skip the bundle?
The signed pick-and-pack line prices the first unit. The ops email then adds assembly, extra component picks, and extra receiving. That is a different decision from leftover pallets, from raising the return rate, and from restocking a return. Hold the rest of the quote still. The first table is net contribution per kit. The next tables raise the kit fee and the AOV lift until the on-the-floor winner flips.
| Path | Extra 3PL / labor | Extra COGS | AOV lift | Net / kit | Monthly | Best? |
|---|
| Kit fee | 3PL assembles | Kit before inbound | Skip the kit | Best overall | If already inbound |
|---|
| AOV lift | 3PL assembles | Kit before inbound | Skip the kit | Best overall | If already inbound |
|---|
