When do return fees flip a 3PL quote?

A rate card can look cheap at an 8% return rate and expensive after a product line or marketplace mix changes. Hold the rest of the quote still and raise the return rate. The table shows the monthly 3PL total, the returns line, whether a minimum is still hiding that growth, and which option is lower.

Common questions

When do 3PL return fees make in-house cheaper?

Raise the assumed return rate while holding the rest of the rate card fixed. The quote flips when return handling plus restocking, on top of the other monthly lines, exceeds your in-house cost per order. A monthly minimum can hide that growth until returns push the subtotal above the floor.
