When the receipt reader met SDN BND

A one-letter OCR slip hid a shop name on 1 of 626 real Malaysian receipts; the fix moved merchant accuracy from 84.7% to 84.8%. The rest is labelling.

ai-bookkeeper reads a receipt into merchant, date and total. On 626 real Malaysian receipts (SROIE, hand-labelled) it gets the merchant exactly right on 84.7%. Looking at the 96 misses, the cheapest one to fix was receipt 000: the dataset's own text reads SDN BHD as SDN BND, so the reader did not see a company suffix and picked the stamped person's name above the shop instead.

Accepting BND as a suffix (and writing it back as SDN BHD) fixes it: 531 of 626 (84.8%), one fewer wrong, date and total unchanged.

The honest part: that is one receipt. Most remaining misses are the receipt printing a brand (SUSHI MENTAI) while the label holds the company (MIZU MENTAI SDN. BHD.). For bookkeeping the brand is arguably the better payee, so there is no rule to add. Further gains need phone photos of real paper, which this session could not get.
