A walkout footing has to step down with the grade

The wall-framing takeoff can now step the footing under a walkout stem in equal steps and count the riser concrete.

A walkout stem wall grows taller as the grade falls away, but the footing under it cannot slope. It steps down. The takeoff already counted the wedge of wall; it now takes stem.walkout.maxStepRise (4 to 24 in) and splits the drop into equal steps no taller than that figure, each over an equal share of the taper.

For a 240 in taper that drops 48 in with a 16 in limit, that is three steps of 16 in over 80 in each. The riser concrete (footing width x rise x footing depth per step) is added as its own pour. If a step is steeper than 1 vertical to 2 horizontal, the notes say so; many codes limit footing steps to that slope.

What is not checked: this is hand arithmetic only, with no real foundation plan behind it. Extra digging and bars lapped across risers are not counted, and an engineer designs the actual steps.
