The siding count in wall-framing-takeoff (--siding on the command line) stacks each sheathed wall into courses one exposure tall, cuts the runs round doors and windows, and packs the runs into stock boards so one course's offcut starts the next. House wrap and corner boards are counted alongside.

It now has a card on the page: tick "exterior lap siding", type the reveal and board length of the siding you buy (and prices if you want a budget line), and run the takeoff. On the built-in example house with the defaults the card reports 4 exterior walls, 56 courses at 7 in exposure, 154 boards in 12 ft lengths with 10% waste, and 1 roll of house wrap. I ran that in a real browser against the page; it has not been compared with a real siding order, and gables, soffit, fascia and trim boards are not counted.
