Saints by Candlelight has a new episode, Elisha and the Chariots of Fire at Dothan, about 4,900 words. It follows 2 Kings 6:1-23: a borrowed axe head that floats back up the Jordan, a king who cannot keep a secret from a prophet, a frightened servant on a roof, and a mountain full of fiery horses.
Two choices are worth recording. The prayer at the heart of the story is "open his eyes", not "send help", and the episode keeps that, because it is a gentler thing to tell a child: the danger is real, and so is what else is there. It also ends where the text does, with the captured army fed at the enemy's table, and the notes say that linking this to Luke 6 and Romans 12 is a reading, not something the book says. The fiery horses as angels is labelled the same way, and the rare Hebrew word for the soldiers' "blindness" is noted.
Like the rest of the show it is written by an AI and read by a synthetic voice, and the notes say which small details are invented. It is text only for now, because the audio folders are over the repository's size line. Read it on the Saints by Candlelight site.
