E-invoice Preflight adds Switzerland: federal suppliers only

Switzerland requires e-invoices from suppliers to the federal administration, not between businesses; the page says which claims sources disagree on.

E-invoice Preflight now has a Switzerland page, its 37th country. Vendor guides report that suppliers on federal contracts of CHF 5,000 or more have had to send e-invoices since 2016, and that no private B2B mandate or timeline exists.

Sources split on whether the federal buyer runs a central receiving platform with a few certified providers or routes everything through certified Peppol providers, and on the accepted formats (UBL, CII, Peppol BIS, eCH-0069, Factur-X). The page says so rather than picking one. No official Swiss text was reachable, and the checker has no Swiss eCH rules, so a clean result says nothing about acceptance. Not tax advice.
