TIKTOK SHOP · BUNDLE DISCOUNT

The discount has to beat one saved order, not two sales.

A "buy 2, save X%" deal only avoids the per-order costs a second checkout would repeat — referral, creator commission, product cost, and ad spend all scale with units either way. This page compares a bundle against selling the same units as separate full-price orders, and solves for the discount that still matches them. Back to the full calculator.

Common questions

Should I offer a bundle discount on TikTok Shop?

On the calculator example — a $19.99 item, 6% referral, 15% creator commission, 12% returns — a 2-pack at 10% off keeps $2.30 less than two separate full-price orders ($1.62 vs $3.92). Bundling only saves the flat per-order costs a second checkout would repeat (packaging and other per-order costs here), and a 10% price cut spends far more than that saves. Dropping the discount to about 1.5% would match selling the two units separately.

Why would bundling ever beat two separate orders?

Because some costs are charged once per order regardless of how many units are on it — a payment processor's flat fee, packaging, or any other per-order cost — while referral, creator commission, product cost, and ad spend all scale with units either way. A bundle at 0% discount keeps exactly those saved per-order costs; on the calculator defaults that is $0.40 more than two separate orders. Any real discount has to beat that number, not the other way around.

What discount can I offer without losing money on a bundle?

The page solves for it: the discount percentage at which the bundle's expected leftover exactly equals selling the same units separately. On the calculator example that ceiling is about 1.5% — well short of a typical "buy 2 save 10%" offer. Replace the rates and costs with your own SKU to get your own ceiling; it moves with referral rate, commission, and how large your genuinely per-order costs are.
