THUMBTACK LEAD ROI CALCULATOR · RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER
Are your Thumbtack leads paying for themselves?
Enter how many paid leads you answer, what each costs after credits and in your own quoting time, and how often one becomes a job. You get your cost per job won, the close rate you need to break even, the most a lead can cost before it loses money, and what the month nets.
Your numbers, not financial advice. Lead prices, credit rules and fees belong to the platform and change, so every value is editable. Nothing is uploaded: inputs are used in this browser tab only.

Close rate is the one number you must measure yourself: jobs won divided by paid leads over several months. A dozen leads is noise.
What does a Thumbtack job really cost me in lead fees?
Lead price after credits, divided by your close rate. At $50 a lead, 10 percent credited back and a 20 percent close rate that is $225.00 in lead charges per job won. Your quoting time adds more: at 20 minutes a lead and $40 an hour the all-in cost is $291.67 per job.
What close rate do I need for paid leads to pay off?
Lead charges alone break even at 9.4 percent on the default numbers. Once you count the time spent quoting, the break-even rises to 12.2 percent, which is the number that matters.
What is the most I should pay for a lead?
At a 20 percent close rate, $480.00 earned per job and 20 minutes of quoting, a lead stops paying above about $91.00. The scenarios table shows how the month changes at other lead prices.
Does this use Thumbtack data or give advice?
No. It does arithmetic on the numbers you type; lead prices, credit rules and fees belong to the platform and change, so every value is editable. It is not affiliated with Thumbtack and nothing is uploaded.
