FOR TCGPLAYER SELLERS

What TCGplayer really takes from an order.

10.75% commission on cards and the shipping the buyer pays (capped at $75 a product), plus 2.5% of the whole order — tax included — and a flat $0.30 per order. The $0.30 is per order, not per card, so the same $1 card costs 43.3% alone and 14.8% in a 20-card cart. Enter an order to see what you keep and the price that hits a profit target.

The order

Card price is per card; quantity is how many of that card are on the order. Shipping is what the buyer pays you on the order. Sales tax is the buyer's rate: you never receive it, but TCGplayer charges its 2.5% on it.

    Common questions

How much does TCGplayer take per sale?

Two fees. A marketplace commission of 10.75% of the order subtotal (cards plus the shipping the buyer pays), capped at $75 per product, and a transaction fee of 2.5% of the order total plus $0.30 per order. On a single $50 card that is $5.38 + $1.55, so you keep about $43.08 before postage and supplies, an effective 13.8%. There is no listing fee.

Why does a $1 card lose so much to fees?

Because the $0.30 transaction fee is charged once per order, not per card. A one-card $1.00 order pays $0.43 in fees, 43.3% of the sale. The same $1 card inside a 20-card $20 order pays $2.95 in total, 14.8%, so the order size matters more than the card price.

Does TCGplayer charge commission on shipping?

Yes. The commission is taken on the order subtotal, which includes the shipping the buyer pays, and the 2.5% transaction fee is charged on the whole order total including shipping and sales tax. A $20 card with $1.31 of buyer-paid shipping pays commission on $21.31, not $20.00.

What is the TCGplayer commission cap?

The 10.75% commission stops at $75 per product sold, which it reaches at a subtotal of about $697.67. On a single $1,000 card the commission is $75.00 instead of $107.50, so total fees are $100.30 (10.0%). Below roughly $700 the cap changes nothing.

Did TCGplayer raise its fees in 2026?

Yes. According to TCGplayer's fee table, the Marketplace Level 1-4 commission rose from 10.25% to 10.75% on 10 February 2026 and the per-product cap rose from $50 to $75. On a $100 card that is $0.50 more commission than the old rate. Many older calculators still show 10.25%.

    Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Arithmetic happens entirely in your browser. Card prices, costs, and payouts are never uploaded. If you use the save button, your numbers are written to this browser’s own local storage on this device only, and the forget button deletes them. The optional usage counter records only which features were used and the day, never any of your numbers.
