Saint Clare founded our order in Assisi in 1212 to live the Gospel as Saint Francis did, in poverty and joy. Our monastery was founded in 1928 by five sisters.

Our charism
We are contemplative nuns in papal enclosure. Our life is given to prayer: the Divine Office, the Eucharist, adoration and silence, lived in sisterly love. We own nothing and live on what Providence sends.
A day in the monastery
We rise at midnight for Matins, then sleep again until Lauds. The day is ordered by the Office, Mass, work in the altar bread department and the garden, study and recreation together.
