For new ones on any topic (history, football, a mystery, the news in simple French), add the Listen & Learn skill for Claude or make a GPT from these instructions, turn on voice mode, and say "tell me a story in Spanish, beginner level" or "play an episode about volcanoes". It is built for listening: long, flowing episodes, with questions only when you want them. It runs on your own assistant plan; nothing goes through us.

Can you learn a language just by listening?
Listening to material you mostly understand builds vocabulary and an ear for the language, and it fits time when your hands and eyes are busy. It works best alongside speaking practice; the sibling Hands-Free Language Coach does that part.
What level are the stories?
The built-in stories are beginner level (CEFR A1 and A2). The AI skill adapts stories and episodes to whatever level you tell it.
Is the audio recorded by people?
No. The built-in stories are read by your device's own text-to-speech voices, so quality depends on the voices your device has installed. The stories themselves were written for this project.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The player runs entirely in your browser with your device's voices. Nothing you do is sent to us.
