FOR DISCOGS SELLERS

Discogs takes 9% of your shipping too.

Discogs charges a 9% selling fee on the item price plus buyer-paid shipping, with a minimum of $0.10 and a maximum of $150 per order. Source: Discogs Help Center, "What Are The Fees For Selling On Discogs?" (9% since 2023-05-22; payment processing is charged separately). As of 2026-10-25.

Discogs charges a 9% selling fee on the item price plus the shipping the buyer pays (minimum $0.10, maximum $150 per order), and payment processing comes out on top. Put in a record, what you charged, what the postage cost you and what you paid for it, and see what lands in your account, the price that hits a profit target, and where on the price ladder the fixed fees stop mattering.

The sale

Item price is what the buyer paid for the record(s). Buyer-paid shipping is what they paid you for postage. Postage you paid is what the label actually cost.

Discogs does not publish one processing rate for every seller, so the last two boxes start at 2.9% + $0.30 when blank. Copy the real figure from one of your own payout statements.

Fee ladder

The same shipping, postage and costs at different item prices: where a cheap record stops paying for its own fixed fees, and where the $150 cap flattens the take on a grail.

Clearing a collection? One order per line: label, price, shipping, cost. The label is optional; shipping and cost default to 0. Each order is fee'd separately with the processing rates above, since the flat part is per order. Postage you pay is not included, so profit here is before your labels.

    Common questions

How much does Discogs take per sale?

A 9% selling fee, charged on the item price plus the shipping the buyer pays, with a $0.10 minimum and a $150 maximum per order, plus payment processing on top. A $50 record with no shipping pays $4.50 in selling fee; at an assumed 2.9% + $0.30 processing, about $1.75 more, so you keep about $43.75 before postage and what you paid for it.

Does Discogs charge its fee on shipping?

Yes. The 9% applies to the item price and the shipping together, so a $20 record with $6 shipping pays 9% of $26 ($2.34), not 9% of $20 ($1.80). Processing is charged on the same total. It makes no difference whether you raise the price or the shipping: the fee follows the total the buyer pays.

What is the Discogs processing fee?

It is separate from the 9% selling fee and is taken by the payment provider on the same order. Discogs does not publish a single rate for every seller, and third-party guides disagree (figures such as 2.7% + $0.25, 2.9% + $0.30 and 3.49% + $0.49 all circulate). This calculator starts at 2.9% + $0.30 and lets you overwrite both numbers from your own payout statement.

Is there a maximum Discogs fee?

Yes. Discogs caps the selling fee at $150 per order, which is reached at an order total of about $1,667. Above that the selling fee stops growing, though processing still applies to the whole order. There is also a $0.10 minimum.

    Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Parsing and arithmetic happen entirely in your browser. Prices, costs, and payouts are never uploaded. If you use the save button, your numbers are written to this browser’s own local storage on this device only, and the forget button deletes them. The Copy shareable link button puts the same numbers in the page’s URL fragment, which your browser never sends to a server. The optional usage counter records only which features were used and the day, never any of your numbers.
