COURSE PLATFORM FEE CALCULATOR · RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER · NOTHING UPLOADED

Which course platform leaves you the most?

Enter your price and how many you sell a month. You get what you keep on each platform after its plan fee, transaction fee and card processing, and the sales-per-month crossover where a flat-fee plan starts to beat a percentage cut. Every platform's pricing page quotes only its own bundle; this puts them side by side.

Common questions

Which course platform has the lowest fees?

It depends on your volume. A percentage-only platform such as Gumroad is cheapest when you sell a few units a month; a flat-fee plan with no transaction fee wins once your monthly sales are large enough that the percentage would exceed the plan price. This calculator finds that crossover for your price and your platforms.

Do course platforms charge payment processing fees on top?

Many do. Several charge their own plan or transaction fee and leave the card processor's percentage and flat fee on top, usually around 3% plus 30 cents per sale in the US, while others bundle processing into one number. Each row here has a switch for it.

What happens to fees when a sale is refunded?

Usually the processor keeps its fee and the platform's rule varies. This tool takes the cautious reading: the buyer gets the price back and the fees on that sale are not returned.

Are the preset prices current?

They are approximate starting points, not verified numbers. Platforms change pricing often, so check each platform's own pricing page and edit the figures before relying on the result.

Is this financial advice?

No. It does arithmetic on the fees you enter. It does not check them against any platform's terms, and it does not cover tax, VAT or sales-tax collection.
