Keep this bid so it is still here when the customer calls back. Every number on this form is saved together, under a name you choose, along with the figure it gave you, and restoring one puts the whole job back exactly as you priced it. Mark each one won or lost when you hear — the ones you have not heard back on stay listed as waiting, with how long they have been out. Once a few have come back, this panel says how long yours actually take, and how many are still out past that. Once enough of them have been decided, it also says whether the bids you save here have been landing differently lately than they used to.

CATERING QUOTE CALCULATOR · RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER
What should this catering job cost per guest — and how few guests can you take?
Paste your costs for one event — food per guest, staff hours, rentals, fuel — and see the per-guest price that delivers your margin, food and labor as a share of the quote, the deposit and the guest count below which you lose money.
Nothing is uploaded and no supplier or accounting tool is contacted. The text box is analysed in this browser and never leaves your device. The 35% food and labor warning levels, 30% margin and 10% overhead are common rules of thumb, not a standard, and you can change every one.

Prefer a CLI, or want to quote from a script?
Same logic, zero dependencies, one command — reads a file or stdin:
Warning levels, margin and overhead are rules of thumb; sales tax and gratuity are shown separately and never counted as revenue; supplier price changes, no-shows below a guarantee and venue rules are not modelled.
Common questions
Does this connect to a POS or accounting system?
No. It reads the cost lines you paste and never contacts Square, Toast, QuickBooks or any supplier. Every figure is arithmetic on the lines you gave it, so nothing here leaves your device.
How is the per-guest price calculated?
Total cost divided by (1 minus your target margin minus your overhead share), then divided by the guest count. Per-guest lines scale with the guests, flat and staff lines do not, which is why a bigger event costs less per head.
What are the three line types?
guest is a cost per person (food, plates), with a waste allowance added; flat is a cost for the whole event (van, rentals, permits); staff-hour is total staff hours times the hourly rate, with a payroll-burden allowance added.
What is the break-even guest count?
The number of guests at which the price you name covers the fixed costs after overhead. Below it the event loses money, so it is the number to put in a minimum-guest clause.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The browser page runs on the text in your own browser and never sends it anywhere. The CLI reads a local file or stdin and makes no network call.
