Trace over a scanned plan in the free framing takeoff

The wall-framing takeoff's sketch editor can now put a picture of your plan under the grid, scale it from one known dimension, and let you trace the walls.

If you have a photo or scan of a floor plan, you no longer have to read every wall length off it and type it in. In the free wall-framing takeoff's sketch card, choose the picture, type one distance you know on it (say 24 ft), press "Set scale" and click its two ends. The picture rescales so the grid matches, and you click the walls, doors and windows over it as usual. A slider fades the picture.

The picture is read in your browser and never uploaded. It is not kept across reloads (the sketch you trace is). Moving or rotating the picture, and PDF pages, are still to do: export a page to an image first. Check every traced dimension against the plan before you order lumber.
