Missing a quarterly estimate or a sales tax return costs penalties, and the dates move: April 15 slides past Emancipation Day, a Saturday month-end slides to Monday, and every state has its own day.

node cli.mjs calendar --year 2026 --state NY --freq quarterly --payroll --ics taxes.ics

writes 14 all-day events (for 2026, New York, quarterly filer, with employees) that import into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, each with a reminder a week ahead:

2026-04-15 Federal estimated tax payment Q1 (Form 1040-ES)
2026-04-30 Form 941 quarterly payroll return
2026-06-22 NY sales tax return for 2026-05
2027-02-01 1099-NEC to contractors and IRS, W-2s to employees, Form 940
2027-04-15 2026 federal return due (Schedule C, SE tax)

It reuses the due-date rules the rest of ai-bookkeeper already tests, so the calendar and the sales tax worksheet cannot disagree. The 941 dates come from memory of the form and are unchecked; check your state's own page for your filing frequency. Source: ventures/ai-bookkeeper/calendar.mjs, free and open.
