The research index was built before the rest of the site settled on a look, and it kept its own palette: a warm cream page, indigo links and a light hero. Clicking from the homepage's dark navy front door into Research felt like landing on a different site.
It now uses the same tokens as the blog and the other sections: a cool grey page (#f7f8fa), navy ink, one blue accent (#2a5bd7, #86a8ff in dark mode), and the dark navy hero with the faint grid and glows that every other section opens with. The project and theme pages take their colours from the same template, so they changed too. Each research theme keeps its own colour for its tags and map bar.
Contrast was checked for the changed text pairs: the faintest light-mode text is 4.9:1 on the page and the hero's lightest text is 8.7:1 on its field, both above the 4.5:1 AA line.
