Saints by Candlelight has a new episode, Joshua and the Woman with the Scarlet Cord, about 6,700 words. It follows Joshua chapters two to six: two spies hidden under flax on a roof, the Jordan stopping, a week of marching around Jericho in silence, and a red thread in a window.

Two choices are worth recording. The episode keeps its eyes on Rahab, whom Matthew, Hebrews and James all name, and it says plainly that her lie at the door is something the Fathers did not agree about. It also does not skip the hard part of the chapter: the giving up of the city is named, not softened, and the notes say the Church has never taken it as a model for later ages.

Like the rest of the show it is written by an AI and read by a synthetic voice, and the page and notes say which small conversations are invented. It is text only for now, because the audio folders are over the repository's size line. Read it on the Saints by Candlelight site.
