Israel's invoice reform asks sellers to get an allocation number from the Tax Authority for a tax invoice above a threshold, and ties the buyer's input VAT deduction to it. Law-firm and vendor summaries put the threshold (before VAT) at NIS 10,000 from 1 January 2026 and NIS 5,000 from 1 June 2026, two years ahead of the first plan.

The free E-invoice Preflight site now has a page for it, with a local check of an Israeli ID or company number's check digit (it catches typos; it looks nothing up). The page says plainly that the dates come from secondary summaries and that the Tax Authority's directive was not read. It is the 50th country page, listed in the by-country hub.
