Your overhead on direct cost and target net margin are the same on every job you bid. Save them once and every trade bid calculator here opens with your numbers instead of a stranger’s ballpark.
This tool prices one call from a single billed rate rather than a separate crew wage and payroll burden, so your saved wage and burden are left alone here.
Kept in this browser only, on this site’s own storage. Nothing is uploaded, and clearing your browser data clears it. Forgetting them leaves the numbers already on this bid alone.
Keep this bid so it is still here when the customer calls back. Every number on this form is saved together, under a name you choose, along with the figure it gave you, and restoring one puts the whole job back exactly as you priced it. Mark each one won or lost when you hear — the ones you have not heard back on stay listed as waiting, with how long they have been out. Once a few have come back, this panel says how long yours actually take, and how many are still out past that. Once enough of them have been decided, it also says whether the bids you save here have been landing differently lately than they used to. Once a few here are decided, this panel says what the ones you won averaged against the ones you lost, so you can see where your price tips. On a lost bid you can also note what the job went for, if you heard — then it says how far off you actually were, which is the part guessing gets wrong in both directions. On a won one, note what the job came to once it was done and this panel says what those jobs actually kept, so you can see whether the ones you are winning are worth winning — and it tells you how many of your won jobs are still missing that figure, rather than going quiet about it. Restoring a bid also pins the figure it was saved at above this panel, so when the customer asks what it costs without the tear-off, the new number is shown against the one they already have — and by how much, in money and in percent.

FOR MOBILE LOCKSMITHS
Quote the call before you're already at the door.
A lockout or a rekey feels like a quick mental-math job on the phone, and that is exactly how the after-hours premium gets forgotten and the trip fee gets absorbed into "just the labor." This free calculator prices one service call with the emergency premium and a minimum charge floor built in, then checks whether a day's worth of calls hits your income goal.
Your call details above are saved locally in this browser so you don't retype them next time. A shareable link puts the same numbers — plus any deposit, terms, and today's income-check figures — in the URL fragment; nothing is uploaded.

This is a planning floor from the numbers you typed, not an audited quote. It does not add taxes, licensing renewal cost, or vehicle insurance unless you fold those into overhead yourself.
Hand the customer a proposal
The price above is for you. This is the page you print or save as a PDF and give to the customer — your details, their details, the scope, the deposit split, and a line for them to sign. Your business details are saved on this device so you only type them once; the customer’s details are never saved.
Everything on the printed page is text you typed or a number this calculator worked out. It contains no warranty, lien, or cancellation wording — those depend on your jurisdiction and your contract, and this tool is not the place to invent them.
Today's income check
Use the profit for this call (or your own estimate) to check whether a day's worth of calls hits your income goal. These numbers are saved locally and travel in a shareable link along with the call details above.

Private by default
Everything on this page runs in your browser and nothing is ever uploaded. Your call details, deposit and terms, and today's income-check numbers are saved locally on this device so you don't retype them next time — Reset to defaults clears them, and Copy shareable link puts them in a URL fragment your browser never sends anywhere. We count only anonymous local feature events (call-priced, daily-goal-check, link-copied) so we can tell whether the calculator gets used — no prices, parts, or income figures are recorded, and Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control turn it off automatically.
Common questions
Why does the after-hours premium apply to labor and travel time but not to parts?
Because a cylinder or key blank costs the same at 2am as it does at 2pm — what changes at 2am is your own availability. This calculator applies the emergency premium to billed time only, so the parts markup stays honest regardless of when the call happens.
Why does the calculator compare the calculated price against a minimum service charge?
Because a short job — a five-minute car unlock, a single cut key — can price below what the trip itself costs once you count drive time, fuel, and the overhead that applies whether or not this specific call happens. A minimum service charge is a floor: whichever number is higher, the calculated price or your stated minimum, is what you should quote.
Why is there a separate callback reserve on top of overhead?
A rekey or hardware install occasionally needs a free return visit — a key that doesn't turn quite right, a strike plate that needs adjusting. The callback reserve sets aside a percentage of the job's direct cost to absorb that risk instead of it silently eating into margin on every job where it happens.
Does anything I type get uploaded?
No. Every field on this page runs in your browser only, and nothing is sent to a server or an account. Your call details, deposit and terms, and today's income-check numbers are saved locally on this device so you don't retype them, and a shareable link can carry them to a partner covering the dispatch or to the customer. Usage counting only tallies anonymous feature events, and you can turn it off with the button above.
