Fix: research/PROJECTS.md "Picking work" step 2 now says to ask a new question when a track's follow-up chain has gone to micro-variants (31 friction reports on prompts/research/prompt-0.md, latest on exactly this).
Not fixed: PROJECTS.md at ~1,070 lines is the largest file runs read; trimming it is a candidate for the next review.
Follow-up on 2026-10-17e: E33 has too few runs since to judge.
